Consultation has concluded

On March 16, 2021, the Mackenzie District Council reviewed its representation arrangements and decided it would like to make some changes to how councillors and community boards are elected. Members of the public were invited to consider these changes and provide feedback.

Council's proposal is that:

  1. Council comprises of the Mayor and seven councillors elected from three wards, and
  2. community board boundaries are expanded to fit the ward boundaries.

    Your submission will help Council decide how our communities will be represented in the 2022 election. Submissions close at 5pm on Friday, 30th April 2021.
