How can we enhance the site of the old toilets in Fairlie?
CONSULTATION CLOSED
UPDATE: November 2024
We received a total of 47 submissions. The most common themes were:
Playground fencing – mentioned in 38 of 45 total submissions
Community BBQ – 7 mentions
Shaded area – 7 mentions
New Shelter – 6 mentions
Seating Area – 5 mentions
Water Play area – 3 mentions
Retain as toilets – 3 mentions
Other ideas mentioned only once or twice.
Based on the submissions received, the feedback overwhelmingly favours continuing with demolition and then building an appropriate fence around the playground.
If additional funds can be sourced they could be used for a shelter, a BBQ, shaded areas and seating.
Council staff are now sourcing fencing quotes to take back to the Fairlie Community Board for a final decision.
